Vienna in the early sixties: Schoolmates Anton Feistl and Helmut Brauner finance their studies with the organization of promotional events and eventually found their own distribution company in 1963. The company name "feibra" is composed of the first letters of their surnames.
The company soon became one of Austria’s leading names in Doordrop with more than 1,000 distributors and more than one billion leaflets distributed each year. In 2005, feibra was taken over by Österreichische Post AG.
The granting of a license for the now completely liberalized postal sector in 2011 represents a milestone in the development of feibra from a Doordrop specialist towards a Postal Services Operator.
